Saskia Kappers (1986) is a Rotterdam based designer, broadening her taste in product and interior design. Her work will show you her interest in simplicity and involvement, with a humorous twist. A good example is the Mors.stop (Spill.stop) she designed for the HEMA Design Contest (2009). This became the winning product design! HEMA, a well known department store in the Netherlands, asked design students to re-use an existing form or material for a new product. The Mors.stop was made out of a balloon that would prevent little children from spilling their drinks. It would be the best solution for all those birthday parties!
Saskia graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam in January 2012.
